Christine is a nonfiction writer and semi-retired pit bull rescuer from the Bay Area, California.
She was born in Los Angeles and raised between the east and west coast by her southern mother and New Englander father. Christine holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College, a BA in English Literature with a minor in Sociology from the University of North Texas.
She is a former marketing director for LUMINA, a magazine housing all forms of literature and visual art, and has worked in marketing, communications and development for the fields of finance, education, and healthcare on the east, west and gulf coasts. She is a former board member with Best Bullies To The Rescue, a nonprofit founded by Jo Ann Beard, Ann King, and Doug Tappan.
Christine’s work has appeared in The Dallas Review, The Rumpus, New Limestone Review, Bridge Eight Magazine, among others. She has received nominations for both the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net. Christine is at work on a collection of essays.
